Jeollabuk-do Pushes ahead with Thousand-year Luxurious Diet Farm

Jeollabuk-do, which tried to make Korea take off as 'Travel Experience No.1', started to attract Japanese tourists. So, Jeollabuk-do, on the target at Japanese powerful journalists, made progress of “One Night Two Days”Jeonbuk Fam Tour from 9 to 10, August (two night three days on the whole, Jeonju, Suncheon, Damyang, Yeosu).

 

This Fam Tour, planned by the collaboration together with Korean National Tourist Organization, made progress of an invitation of nine journalists from Tokyo, Fukuoka to inform Jeonbuk sightseeing resources and food culture to respective districts in memorial of 'Jeolla-do Thousand Year'. Especially, this event delivered the attraction of Jeonbuk sightseeing on the theme of 'delicious diet' on which Japanese have a lot of concernments.

 

Some journalists experienced in traditional culture of Korea, looking on major Jeonbuk sightseeing attractions such as Jeonju Traditional House Village (Jeonju Hanokmaeul), Omokdae (Pavilion), Gyeonggijeon (Royal Palace), and Jeondong Catholic Church (Jeondong Seongdang). Especially, they showed concernments on Jeonbuk boiled vegetable-and-meat rice (bibimbap), reacting a scene of a drama 'Tobang' located at Pyeonghwa-dong known to Japanese as a filming site of a drama popular ‘Solitary Gourmet’

 

Jeollabuk-do expects to publicize Jeonbuk in order to Japan as a sightseeing attraction of taste by this journalist's visitation and also in order to create a real district sightseeing consumption.
