Jeollabuk-do Introduces Jeonbuk Taekwondo, Bibimbap, and Pansori in Thailand

Jeollabuk-do Tourism Publicity Hall Carries out Performances of Bibimbap and Pansori

 

The 8th Royal Princess Cup Taekwondo Championship took place at Pataya City Gymnasium in Thailand on May 5th. Jeollabuk-do publicized tourism of the province for the event period.

 

This Royal Princess Cup Taekwondo Championship held in 2018 is an event for 60th Anniversary of Thailand-Republic of Korea Diplomatic Relations held at Pataya City Gymnasium in Thailand, where the players and spectators participated, about 2,000 persons from about 20 countries.

For the opening ceremony, patriotic song was sung as a Jeonbuk sound at first and pansori was resonated for the purpose of publicizing Jeonbuk sound. Afterwards, taekwondo performance, K-pop, etc. were shown. Especially, Jeollabuk-do caught the public eyes for Jeonbuk tourism by holding Bibimbap Event to publicize Jeonbuk tourism. Jeollabuk-do visited two travel agencies (Discovery Korea, KTCC) located at Bangkok and discussed tourism commercial articles for the second half of 2018 and first half of 2019 on 7th. On 8th, Jeollabuk-do introduced traditional culture through pansori at Harrow International School and helped about 80 students experience fan making with hanji. On 9th, Jeollabuk-do visited Bangkok Branch of Korea Tourism Organization and discussed the policies of publicizing and inducing Jeonbuk tourism commercial article.
