The Carbon Industry of Korea Starts in Jeonbuk

The Twelfth International Carbon Festival Opens in a Great Success

 

'The Twelfth International Carbon Festival opened at Seoul COEX, supported by Jeollabuk-do and conducted by KCTECH on 1, NOV to 3, NOV.

 

This event attracted a great concernment, for it opened in cooperation with 'JEC Asia' event, an exhibition in Asia conducted by JEC Group, a professional company for exhibition, the biggest in the world.

 

JEC Group has so great information as to link 2.5 million specialists in composite material of 96 nations in the world by networks.

 

The specialists in carbon of our country as well as in composite carbon material of 6 countries including Germany. France, and Australia participated in the conference as orators. Special Exhibition Room (F3, COEX) was prepared to help visitors see carbon composite material products of excellent S&M business.

 

 

The carbon product, manufactured by heating raw thread such as cellulous, arcrylic etc., at 1,500°C weighs 1/5 lighter than steel, but it is 10 times heavier than steel. So, it is used for many materials of various industrial products such as automobiles, airplanes, robots, wind power plants, and machines.

 

KCTECH exhibited the material concerning the newest technology tendency of Germany MAI Carbon Cluster, the largest carbon composite material cluster. Professor Kim Seong Hi serving at Jungwon University showed Carbon Art, a new art genre on the motive, 'Meeting between Carbon Textile and Arts'.

Song Ha-Jin governor said, "Jeollabuk-do sowed the seeds of carbon industry in this district, but now it tries to push ahead to the world stage together with JEC Group in Seoul. This event will be a productive chance in which we can share various visions and information about world composite material industry to promote development and innovation.
