Attract Southeast Asian Tourists!

 

Embarking on Full-Scale Marketing Activities for Overseas Markets in Preparation of ‘Visit Jeonbuk Year 2017’

 

 

Jeollabuk-do dashed into full-scale marketing efforts for attracting Southeast Asian visitors in the face of ‘Visit Jeonbuk Year 2017’.

 

This Province had participated in Thailand International Tourism Expo held in Bangkok in Thailand for five days from February 15 to February 19 so as to operate Jeollabuk-do Tourist PR (Public relations) Center.

 

Jeonbuk Province intensively publicized buckwheat fields in Gochang which have been highlighted as a Hanryu (Korean Wave) tour site as those fields have been known for the filming location of Korean Drama ‘Dokkaebi’ (Korean goblins) recently, as well as the Province actively advertised and promoted ‘Jeonbuk Tour Pass’ as a Jeollabuk-do typical brand product.

 

In addition, our Province conducted SNS events over the subjects of Thai tourists to receive the very positive responses of the audience.

 

The strategy of Jeollabuk-do is to publicize diverse international events held within this province this year, including World Taekwondo Championships Muju 2017 and FIFA U-20 World Cup Korea 2017, and so induce Asian visitors in Southeast Asia, Japan, and Taiwan to Jeollabuk-do.

 

Further, the Province plans to extend the scope of its marketing to the subjects of major states so as to try the multilateral attraction of foreign travelers.
