Jeonbuk Publicizes Han-style [Korean Style) at Ishikawa Prefecture

Jeollabuk-do made progress of sister friendly city Han-style (Korean Style) Exhibition at Ishikawa Prefecture, an exchange district in Japan from September 2 (Sunday) to 4 (Tuesday).

 

 

Jellabuk-do carried forward Han-style Exhibition Project, targeting at sister friendly districts in overseas exchange districts through direct publication in order to expand exchange fields and activate the industries related to Korean culture from 2015. This year, Han-style Exhibition was held for three days in total, targeting at general district inhabitants at Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, which has the 17th exchange.

 

 

A lecture of culture was progress in cooperation with Ishikawa Prefecture International Exchange Association. It was progressed by two courses such as a lecture of Hangeul and an experience of handicraft such as Hanji illumination, Hanji incense pouch etc.

 

 

In the beforehand application, the inhabitants of Ishikawa Prefecture had a great concernment on Hangeul calligraphy. A professional artist Seo Jae Seok lectured excellence of Jeonju Hanji, beauty of Hangeul. The artist made progress of a culture lesson, comparing with Japanese drawing paper, too.

 

About 2,000 spectators participated in the exhibition, where Jeollabuk-do Hanji, Hansik (Korean food), and Hanbok (Korean cloth) were shown. Not only Choi Jeongho, vice governor for political affairs of Jeollabuk-do, but also Chairperson of Japanese Diet, Executive Director of Korea-Japan Friendship Association, Han Jeong Hi President of Korean Japanese Jeonbuk Provincial Inhabitant Club, Lee Yeong Ho President of Jeollabuk-do Center for International Affairs etc. participated in Bibimbap (boiled vegetable-and-meat rice) performance and made two district exchange event meaningful.
