A Construction Work Begins to Restore Jeollagamyeong (Provincial Office)

7 Major Buildings Restored by 2019

 

 

A construction work began after 13 year's talks to restore Jeollagamyeong which governed Jeolla-do and Jeju-do in Josun Dynasty.

 

Jeollabuk-do, Jeonju-si, and Jeollagamyeong Restoration Committee held Cultural Construction Ceremony to begin a construction at Jeollagamyeong restoration field in Jungang-dong, Wansan-gu, Jeonju-si on November 16.

 

The construction work expense amounts to 8.4 billion won by 2019. Core seven buildings of Jeollagamyeong including Seonhwadang (governor's office), Naea, Naeahaengrang, Gwanpunggak, Yeonsindong, Naesammun, and Oehaengrang will be restored, with the size of about 8,400㎡ larger than that of football field.

 

Jeollabuk-do and Jeonju-si will construct Jeollagamyeong as a core space for Asian culture. Expecially, they will make it active, rather than depressed.

 

 

Restored Jeollagamyeong will have an affirmative effect on tourism industry by vitalizing and linking old areas, depressed due to the public office, which moved in the past, and Hanok Village.

 

Song Ha-Jin governor said, "This project will help Jeonbuk open new age as a center for about thousand years and develop aided by one thousand year's vital power.
